MC 105mm f/2.8 S VR
A truly versatile prime lens, the NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 S VR is the latest addition to the Z range and the first micro lens for the Z mount. Designed for close-up photography, from macro to portraits, the mid-telephoto lens has a broad expressive range, with incredible sharpness and detail combined with superior focusing performance. Beautiful, soft bokeh is achieved with no colour bleed or fringing. It is also capable of sharp and clear rendering from infinity to life-size, giving possibilities you can’t capture with a typical lens. Fast, accurate autofocusing, even with macro photography, is achieved using a new system of multiple AF units working together, creating a stress-free shooting experience. The NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 S VR is from NIKKOR’s ‘S-Line’ of high-end products designed for advanced optical performance and superior image quality and is loaded with advanced technologies. It contains 16 optical elements in 11 groups, all with Nano Crysta and ARNEO coating, while the Z mount enables a large lens to be placed at the rear, closer to the sensor for increased performance and lighter weight. In fact, the distance between the image sensor and the rear surface of the lens is roughly half of that of the previous lens. This aspherical lens component also compensates for curvature of field from infinity to close-ups, meaning focusw remains sharp – even at the edges of the frame. The NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 S VR is as comfortable shooting video as it is stills, with quiet operation, click-less control ring and stabilised exposure during aperture changes. Those shooting outdoors can relax in the knowledge that the lens has superior dust and drip resistance and the addition of a rubber seal around the lens mount.
